ELECTRO MAGNETIC INDUCTION

FARADAY'S LAW OF ELECTROMAGNETIC:-

1ST LAW:-

2ND LAW:-

The magnitude of induced e.m.f. is directly proportional to rate of flux linkages.

C   ∝ dΦ/dt

C = - N*dΦ/dt. (lenz law)

LENZ LAW:-

C opposes the cause [dΦ/dt] (result opposes the cause)

It gives direction of induced E.M.F.

FLEMING'S LEFT HAND RULE:-

Strutch out four finger, middle finger & thumb are right angles to each other.

Four Finger ---  Direction of magnetic flux.

Middle Finger --- Direction of current.

Thumb ---- Direction of motion.

Used to determine the the direction of current in DC Generator.

Induced EMF:- It is two part.

  • Dynamically: - Conductor is moving, Magnetic field is stationary. Example-- DC Generator.

  • Statically: - Conductor stationary, Magnetic field is charging. Example-- Transformer.
